'Transition' Articles

Your life has its form by “events”. These events are often judged as lunacy, at other times seen as inspiration, but they are actually the stabilization of forces in your life. When you are coasting, you haven’t gained stability or form. You have lost it. What makes those moments into clarity or lunacy is awareness. The sacred moment of inspiration is thought to be a delusion, but the routine is the delusion.

People find the future scary. This is why some people never learn to drive a car. That space right in front of the car can be really scary, but until you learn to see further you just won’t steer at all and instead will be steered by someone else, or you will have very many crashes. We all learn either in the long or short run. We all have the vehicle of life, and it’s in motion for all of us, and we can all see our now.

“Nothing is secure but life, transition, the energizing spirit.” Ralph Waldo Emerson (American Poet, Lecturer and Essayist, 1803-1882)

“Disenchantment, whether it is a minor disappointment or a major shock, is the signal that things are moving into transition in our lives.” William Bridges

Routine Is Delusion

Do you feel your life is stable? Is it largely the same on a daily basis? Why do you think so? Habits can be routine. Stable life, daily basis. For one thing, I do wake up almost as intact as I went to sleep, and I am lulled into believing all is the same. Breakfast, tea, walk… activities similar. The routine keeps things stable? Routine fools you into thinking things are stable. People get things a bit backward. They think the drifting time of consistency is stable. This is why people latch onto routine when life is getting crazy, and… Seek More

Window Rituals

People drift in the illusion of stable routine, but they aren’t entirely aimless. We all have those pivotal moments that sling shot us off in some direction before we settle into drift. But these moments, for most people, are “accidents”, and thus they feel no sense of fulfillment. Geniuses learn to make those sling shot moments. Geniuses realize that they cause them and can shape them, so they seem amazingly inspired. Another aspect of “genius” is they have all been noted for their “rituals”. They have activities that no one connects to their “great work”, but that they pursue with… Seek More

Deliberate Creation

On the topic of the deliberately created moment, as I said earlier, you don’t have wisdom, wisdom has you. When you realize this, you realize how those insight moments arise, and can deliberately change not the world … but yourself. “e homai ka ‘ike mai luna mai e” That is a line to call for that insight moment. That line says: e homai… oh cause it to happen directly, ka ‘ike … the insight, the wisdom, the knowing, mai luna mai e… mai is the totally important concept here as it is indicating a direction to place the insight, mai… Seek More

Deliberate Moments

One of the best things about reality is that it’s meaningless, and it has no meaning until we assign it one? Drift is meaningless, but the decisive moment that seems so chaotic and unreal… in that there is meaning. The Heyoka would not usually engage in things that actually hurt them, but they would deliberately do things “wrong” because that drama/humour kept people in touch with the insight behind why the tribe did things the way it did. Then we could get inspired by anything, if we are in that kind of mind? Is true. I have been inspired by… Seek More

Life In Transition

Anybody feel like their life is in transition? Care to share what that is like? I’m sacred. I mean scared. I don’t know what the future holds, and things are changing so fast. Sacred too, but was not your point. Excited. Excellent. Both of you are maybe the only ones here not in transition. Most people don’t think there life is in transition and generally feel more comfy when they think they are not, but they actually are. Your lives are actually not in transition. They are at what I call a decisive point. If life has any meaning and any… Seek More

Life Without Crisis?

Nothing is being done to you. Those insights we had as teens were an opportunity when we were so angst ridden. Ever find yourself saying “He/she/they don’t know I’m alive”? It is a half truth, and it’s almost always misinterpreted. Everyone feels like an object when they are taught to see the world and themselves as our society teaches us, thus it seems things can be done to you. But what really happened in our teens while we were busy being dramatic? It was just a lot of teens busy being dramatic. None of them really knowing each other, and… Seek More

Vehicle Of Life

People often lament that life is sprinkled with moments of change with long stretches in between. True, but is life immutable? Just have to wait for an air hole to breath from? I don’t think so. Then you understand that well. Life shows every evidence of being willing to accommodate just about any event. Why is that? Life is change? Every choice you make changes your own future. Which means this change everyone is afraid of is not mysterious, not scary. It’s alive and has ways we can know with an open mind and heart. Not only every choice you… Seek More
